Coming from an extensive hospitality operations background, Mark Lehmkuhl has been at the forefront of South Beach’s most exclusive VIP – oriented lounges and nightclubs for over 20 years and in the business of hospitality management, design & promotions for over 25 years.
His tenure in South Beach began at Bar None – the first bottle service lounge in America. Fronted by Jason Binn of Ocean Drive/ Gotham Magazine and partners Ugo Colombo, Oliver Stone, Sylvester Stallone, and Shareef Malnick of the Forge, and designed by Phillip Stark. Bar-None imported the European concept of Table Bottle service to America.
With the opening of Liquid by Chris Paciello and publicist Ingrid Caesars, Mr. Lehmkuhl secured his place as friend to and director of the South Beach elite party scene.
Next in line was the world re-known Living Room by the Opium Group, where at that time was one of the highest grossing nightclub-lounges per square foot in the world. Mark Lehmkuhl was instrumental to the success of the Living Room where he held positions as GM, VIP Director, and Marketing Director.
Mr. Lehmkuhl was then offered partnership at the Opium Group, where he led development & design for the group’s concepts and brand strategy.
After his tenure of 7 years with the Opium Group and the successful design and opening of Mansion, Mark Lehmkuhl embarked on his first solo venture and successfully opened both Snatch and Suite, grossing 10 mil annum per year in 2006.
Arguably the country’s hottest club from day one of operations, both Suite and Snatch garnished national and international press in both print and television media and won numerous industry awards with a roster of A+ List celebrity clientele including the likes of Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria, Paris Hilton, Will Smith, Fergie, Shakira, Axel Rose, and Jessica Alba; were all patrons drive by the notoriety of the space.
The next chapter brought Mark back to join forces once again with Opium Group as Creative Director, Designer, and Frontman for their upcoming projects: Louis at the Gansevoort Hotel, Opium NIght Club at the Hard Rock Casino and Resort, Mansion 2012, and SET, where he led the https://xjobs.org/ successful development, design, and launch , or rebrand of all concepts.
Mrs. Lehmkul’s recent endeavor, Bodega, a joint partnership with Keith Menin and his partners at Opium Group, in which Mr. Lehmkuhl designed and developed the Grab and Sit “Tequileria” Concept & Speakeasy Bar in the back. Bodega opened New Years Weekend 2015, grossed $10 m in Year 1 of operations, and is a runaway success as since , serving 1200+ ppl per day.
